(Kuwait-News Halal 05 Feb 2017) Halal is becoming one of the most important segments in all Middle Eastern countries and Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, KISR playing a major role in the promotion of Halal Foods, Halal Beverages and Halal Cosmetics through various efforts. The KISR making final arrangements to hold a four-day Halal Food Production Training course from 19-22 February 2017 for researchers and Food & non-Food industry personnel. The course is organized by the Manpower Development Department (MDD) of the Human Resources Division (HRD) and the Environment and Life Sciences Research Center (ELSRC) at Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR).
According to the KISR announcement, purpose of this professional training program is to provide latest and in depth information about Halal food processing, ingredients, processing aid, additives, hidden ingredients, flavor, and animal based ingredients. In addition, the training course will cover in detail what is accepted and not accepted in Halal slaughtering methods and procedures that will insure 100% Halal products.
This year, renown international Halal experts such as Dr. Hani Mansour M. Al-Mazeedi, Dr. Mian Nadeem Riaz, Dr. Talat Saeed Sheikh and Dr. Aida Kader Ghanem will conduct several sessions on number of Halal related themes. The course topic such as Halal terminologies, Halal food laws and regulations, guidelines for Halal food production for meat and poultry, dairy products, seafood, cereal, confectionary & nutritional food supplements, gelatins in Halal food production, enzymes in Halal food production, alcohols in Halal food production, food ingredients in Halal food production, labeling, packaging, coatings for Halal food, animal feed & Halal food and how to get Halal certification will be included.
During the training programs, lectures will be provided to the participants using powerpoints while group discussion, question & answer and examination will be held in the training program.
